Meet the Doc
Dr. Carly Greenfield Tokar was first introduced to chiropractic over 10 years ago. As an active teenager and competitive dancer, Dr. Carly didn’t think she could feel or be any healthier than she already was. After beginning her chiropractic care, she was surprised to see positive changes in her health. Regular headaches that she suffered from for years reduced in severity and frequency. After coming down with colds every month prior to her chiropractic care, her immune system felt stronger and the colds only occurred a couple times a year. The only thing Dr. Carly had changed in her lifestyle during that time was getting adjusted by a chiropractor. These positive changes caused a shift in Dr. Carly’s career goals. At the age of 17, she decided she wanted to become a chiropractor to help others experience the same benefits that she had herself achieved through chiropractic, naturally!
Dr. Carly studied physical and health science at the University of Central Florida and got her Bachelor of Science degree with University Honors. During her time at school, she interned with a chiropractor in Orlando, helping out around the office, working the front desk, and helping with health screenings in the community. She also helped to co-found a chiropractic club, the first of its kind at her University. The club helped to support other future chiropractic students and bring in guest speakers to lecture to the students about chiropractic, health, and wellness.
Dr. Carly moved to Marietta, GA after graduating from UCF and began chiropractic school at Life University, College of Chiropractic. She was awarded the Harvey Lillard Scholarship in her second quarter at Life, a prestigious award that only a few select students are chosen to win per year. During her time at Life, Dr. Carly participated in many campus clubs and did six months of internships at two different chiropractic offices in the Atlanta area, where she gained invaluable real world experience. She also volunteered with the ChiroMission organization on two trips to the Dominican Republic. On these trips, students, chiropractors, and volunteers helped bring chiropractic to the poor areas of the DR, as well as educating the community about health and chiropractic, donating toys, vitamins, and a lot of love!
After much hard work and studying, Dr. Carly graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She is Board Certified and Licensed in Chiropractic and Physiological Therapeutics. Her mission is to improve the health and vitality of the Buckhead and Greater Atlanta community through chiropractic care. She hopes to be a positive role model and source of strength and support for her patients throughout their lifetime. She lives just outside of Atlanta with her husband, and their three pets.
